The Legion welcomes veterans, active military and RCMP members, their families, and community supporters. There is a membership type for everyone who believes in honouring service and giving back.

Which Type is Right for You?
There are four types of membership. The information you provide at registration will determine your eligibility.
Ordinary Member
For those who have served in the Canadian Armed Forces, RCMP, or allied forces. Includes full voting rights and all Legion benefits.
Associate Member
For family members of current or past members, and community supporters who want to stand behind the Legion's mission.
Affiliate Voting
Members of affiliated organizations with full voting privileges at the branch level and access to all Legion programs.
Affiliate Non-Voting
For community members who want to support the Legion and participate in events and activities without voting privileges.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Canadian citizen, or citizen of a Commonwealth, NATO, or Wartime Allied country
- Agree to the Royal Canadian Legion Terms of Eligibility
